HELP needed - "You Tube" downloads..

There are quite a bit of old music videos on "You Tube" by SA bands from my younger days and I want to download it to my computer to get the soundtracks down on a CD.

But, how do one go about it? When I hit the tag "download this video" I get this message; - unable to download video. I hit the problems button and downloaded the latest RealPlayer recommended and 20MB but still no joy.

What do I do wrong or is there some other method to get these music videos downloaded? Do I need some other software to do it?
Yes, I did sign in on 'You Tube"

Assuming you are clever and use Firefox..................

... get the "downloadhelper" from the Fox add ons website, and alas!

for you to download videos from youtube, you will need flv downloader or similar kind of softwares. After installing this software, copy the URL of the video given on the left of the video and paste ii as download link to your flv downloader. The file can be easily downloaded.
