Well it certainly looks lively in here. Before anyone starts bashing me for being a Kiwi, I'd better let you know that I'm from Wales (Next to England) - but now living permanently in NZ.

So, aussie and pommie bashing is fine by me

Hey Dominic, that is nearly as bad as me, a Scotsman living in England (and not even at the coast). Mind you, plenty of bashing fodder there, a Welshman living in New Zealand - I will write it in my 'bashing information book' for later use.

Welcome Dominic

Another Kiwi on the boat design board can't be a bad thing.

I guess if enough of them eventually came to understand boat design they might eventually build a decent one and escape Kiwi land - invading the blessed land of Oz...

On 2nd thoughts - bugger orf!

Ahh - reminds me of the old joke about a Ozzie and a Kiwi fella walking along a country lane in Kiwi land, (on their way to go trout fishing) and they spy a sheep with it's head stuck in the sheep fence!

So the Ozzie feller quick as wink - drops his strides and does the evil deed with the sheep.

In order not to leave his Anzac colleage out of the action, he finnishes with a flourish, zips up his fly and turns the the kiwi and says, "OK - now its your turn!".

Sadly - the kiwi, raced over, drops his daks and sticks his head in the fence!

Cheers! he he he!

(Kiwi bashing is a national institution downunder!)

I have sailed NZ waters often and love it there lots of wind and great people, lots of very good capable sailors of a higher cailbre than many other places oin the world. That Cook straight can be a brutal piece of water though. It still owes me a headsail!
