[quote=P Flados;443271]Penetrating a hull with a gun intended for shooting people is actually more than a simple discussion.

Aha--he said it,--he said the naughty words. The gun nutters of America will be chasing you now. Guns don't kill,--- its your finger --or something like that.

Falling of a sky scraper does not kill you, its stopping at the bottom that does.

Simple in'it?--if your simple that is.

Putting food in your fat mouth does not make you increase weight,--think about it,----swallowing it makes you fat.

No No guns don't kill.

90 % US are religious,-- yes only 10% atheist, Sweden is the other way round and don't have guns at all. Now thats a thought! ----if you have a brain that is and not just a teeny weeny one like Afganistanis have,--they like guns too.

Oh --and just to make your day, todays news,--- Us owes 21 trillion and is more than your economy is worth.

Obama is going to make some cut backs,--he said. You will all need a hand gun soon when robbing and looting sets in.

Bye Bye America--I loved those cars you used to make.

During WW2 the Germans and Japanese shot our soldiers with wooden bullets. Though they weren't as frequently fatal, they messed them up bad. The strategy was for every wounded soldier, 2 others had to leave the field of battle to carry him back to the aid station. Those shouldn't penetrate your hull. Grapefruit wood is one of the hardest.

Just curious.
Why the question on boat hulls Vulkyn?

And before I go to far down the road- why is everyone so focused on caliber?
It is the least topic of importance for any trying to use a handgun for self defense.

It seems to be much the discussion of wattage for security lights... how many lumens, filament types... ad nauseum.

Edit: ****BS was posted here****

Mark- the '20' feet and knife wins' is a reference to the assessment that you will not have a gun in your hand when you realize you are being assaulted.
You won't be ready and it will not matter what caliber of hand cannon you are toting around with you..

A friend showed me his Model 422 .22 gun ... which was smaller and lighter than the 9mm. There is very little opportunity to try guns in Egypt so how should i proceed? I can not swap or sell / change guns easily, any forums or guide i can read to help me in my choice ? As usually i need to do my homework in reading before my next step ...
Troy ?
Go dig a hole and bury it ! dont need gun in any way shape or form . if you have a gun and you get shot bloody good job !

My gun experience is limited to the army, couple of times in a shooting range with a 9mm and hunting shotgun (shooting plates).
Just trying to get more info due to the current events, wanted to make sure that the caliber i choose (or get shot at) doesnt sink the boat. Just general information so to speak.

Thx mark interesting information and thx a lot for the pics !! I also prefer the ability to fire several round with a lighter caliber than a heavier one, at least if u miss u might get a chance to shoot a 2nd round before getting blow away ...

when i read all this crap about guns it makes me glad i am australian, we have trouble but don't have the added worry of 1/2 wits carrying guns around. we don't even lock the house when we go away, america needs to catch up with the rest of the world and get the guns confiscated. all you idiots going on about what guns you use are probably encouraging other people to keep them that might know what they are doing with them. i wonder how many american gun owners are killed and wounded each year by their own weapons. i am not anti american at all but sometimes the redneck ******** gets a bit hard to take.

AAAAAHHH another of the same heart . Any one that carries a gun deserves to be shot !! I would not allow any kind if fire arms of any discription on my property at any time . when my brother inlaw arrived with a rifle in his car he was asked to take it away and leave it some where else but no where near my house and family !. He got pissed and went home again !! That his problem . .

You say you carry a gun for protection !Yeah From some other gun carrying idiot like you ?? WE DO NOT NEED GUNS !!!

Well actually most are killed by their own guns, or have to have them surgically removed by the proctologist later.

But no --they will not learn.
