Hopefully the new hearing will result in justice, maybe save face by having them plead guilty to an administrative offense and pay a token fine. Sorry, that's a logical compromise, probably never happen.

Thank you sir. Am I the only bastard that rants now? A thread for ranting with points for eloquence and use of the dictionary, but few participants????

It is strange - one can prosecute an effective argument on someone else's country. Slamming ones own is difficult - the words do not spring to mind so readily...

Now this is a jealous old idiot - does not know when to "fold em", instead cut what was not his????

Man accused of murdering ex-wife's lover, mutilating genitals

A Sydney man is standing trial accused of the stabbing murder of his ex-wife's new lover, whose genitals were mutilated and placed in a drawer in a bedside table.

The Supreme Court has heard Baulkham Hills man Garbor Ziha and his wife Maria separated at the end of 2005 but he did not want the relationship to end.

It is alleged he drove to the Parramatta flat where she was living in August 2006 and attacked her new partner, Barry Corbett, in the couple's bed.

Mr Corbett was stabbed twice in the heart and his mutilated genitals were found in the top drawer of the bedside table.

In his opening, the Crown prosecutor said bloodstains found in the car driven by Mr Ziha matched Mr Corbett's DNA profile.

The Crown said the jury would have to consider if Ziha's judgement was impaired by an abnormality of the mind, and if that reduced his liability to manslaughter.

about the anonymous negative feedback thing,
I like many others have had a whine about being anonymously negative rep'd- often for stupid things (jokes, or simply someone disagreeing with my opinion on a matter) in open discussion that have no part in my reputation as a boat owner, nor mostly even my conduct as a forum member- that being said though, I have probably also earnt a lot of my positive rep by similar methods- and I must also admit that as a boat owner (in terms of knowledge and experience) my rep really should be lower that it currently is (anyone feel like venting?)
my favourite neg rep was and remains something to the words of "think you got it wrong there Hans" over that damn poll thread I started (and continues to haunt me) about global warming. Yeah I think humans are changing their climate, I think it is a pretty bad thing, and I think we should change the way we go about dealing with and thinking about our 'environment'... so it struck me as rather funny and extremely annoying that someone would give me anonymous negative rep just because they disagreed with my opinion on on this clearly and admitably contentious matter- IT WAS A GOD-DAMN POLL AFTER ALL!

but all in all, I am going to disagree,
I do think the whole reputation thing should continue to remain anonymous- unless of course the individual chooses to sign their rep (as I do). Mostly I only give positive rep anyway, and can only actually recall right now giving negative rep to spammers (helps to spread out the rep thing anyway so that you can give to who you want)
I do think the negative rep thing has a place, and it is about letting someone know (usually in a sort of rude-awakening slap-to-the-face sort of way) that someone strongly disagrees with the content or form of something you have posted... this aint all bad.

This however does not mean that I think that (most) people who do give anonymous negative rep ARE NOT spineless cowards who should go back to hiding in their holes
but, each to their own. I have recieved a fair bit of anonymous positive rep, so I am sure there a few decent individuals around here who just prefer to dish out the good and the bad with an invisible hand.

When I get anonymous negative rep, I TRY to let it just slide off. Water and ducks backs. I realise that they are just lashing (squirting with their feeble water gun) out at someone they can't openly communicate to or confront in debate and are probably just concerned about copping the rep back.

When someone has the gronicles to give me negative rep and sign their name, then I respect them for that, as I know that regardless of any possibility of retaliation, they simply strongly disagree with something and had to let me know.
Fair enough.

OK guys, point taken and well presented except for spelling mistakes - no excuse for that.... , what with "spell-checkers" et al to neatly put a squiggly red line under offending words? Please read the "rules" of the thread on the first page

That (my above lines of text) is the way I feel negative feedback should be given, or even with more invective if that meets ones' feelings/mood at the time... Then it becomes constructive, else I still maintain anonymous negative points are cowardly. Anonymous praise is biblically correct to the extent that publicly gushed praise is all you will get from public boasting of good deeds, quiet ARK's (Acts of Random Kindness) are rewarded elsewhere...

I still am envious of your boat design, is it copyright/patented? Maybe an English English dictionary is what is needed there?

Drag races? The Sydney Mardi Gras is on again soon - "Big crack down on illicit drugs" so the cops say.... Wouldn't want to have a crack up there it would likely have other things stuffed in it before drugs

I think the cops may be confused on cracks (********s/pussy) and crack (ice? etc)

I am sure you could find some pretty fancy looking drags there to act as figurehead on your new boat???? DRAG racing boat?????

Do you have "bath-tub" races there - another name for "anything goes so long as it is not a manufactured boat...." usually as fun and fundraisers for charities
