Get the pot ready for "rabbit stew" - damn fine feed - unless everyone in your area is vegan, should be easy to get recipes from old-timers who may remember Depression time feasts of opportunity...

Rabbits can be very ferocious when cornered. I saw a guy get his throat ripped out by a white one.

Recession, Depression, What Michelle Worry?
First Lady requires more than twenty attendants
By the staff of thelastcrusade.org
“The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it”
--Albert Einstein
“In my own life, in my own small way, I have tried to give back to this country that has given me so much,” she said. “See, that’s why I left a job at a big law firm for a career in public service, “ Michelle Obama
No, Michele Obama does not get paid to serve as the First Lady and she doesn’t perform any official duties. But this hasn’t deterred her from hiring an unprecedented number of staffers to cater to her every whim and to satisfy her every request in the midst of the Great Recession. Just think Mary Lincoln was taken to task for purchasing china for the White House during the Civil War. And Mamie Eisenhower had to shell out the salary for her personal secretary.
How things have changed! If you’re one of the tens of millions of Americans facing certain destitution, earning less than subsistence wages stocking the shelves at Wal-Mart or serving up McDonald cheeseburgers, prepare to scream and then come to realize that the benefit package for these servants of Miz Michele are the same as members of the national security and defense departments and the bill for these assorted lackeys is paid by John Q. Public:
1. $172,2000 - Sher, Susan (CHIEF OF STAFF)
2. $140,000 - Frye, Jocelyn C. (DEPUTY ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT AND DIRECTOR OF POLICY AND PROJECTS FOR THE FIRST LADY)
3. $113,000 - Rogers, Desiree G. (SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT AND WHITE HOUSE SOCIAL SECRETARY)
4. $102,000 - Johnston, Camille Y. (SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT AND DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS FOR THE FIRST LADY)
5. Winter, Melissa E. (SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT AND DEPUTY CHIEF OF STAFF TO THE FIRST LADY)
6. $90,000 - Medina, David S. (DEPUTY CHIEF OF STAFF TO THE FIRST LADY)
7. $84,000 - Lelyveld, Catherine M. (DIRECTOR AND PRESS SECRETARY TO THE FIRST LADY)
8. $75,000 - Starkey, Frances M. (DIRECTOR OF SCHEDULING AND ADVANCE FOR THE FIRST LADY)
9. $70,000 - Sanders, Trooper (DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF POLICY AND PROJECTS FOR THE FIRST LADY)
10. $65,000 - Burnough, Erinn J. (DEPUTY DIRECTOR AND DEPUTY SOCIAL SECRETARY)
11. Reinstein, Joseph B. (DEPUTY DIRECTOR AND DEPUTY SOCIAL SECRETARY)
12. $62,000 - Goodman, Jennifer R. (DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF SCHEDULING AND EVENTS COORDINATOR FOR THE FIRST LADY)
13. $60,000 - Fitts, Alan O. (DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF ADVANCE AND TRIP DIRECTOR FOR THE FIRST LADY)
14. Lewis, Dana M. (SPECIAL ASSISTANT AND PERSONAL AIDE TO THE FIRST LADY)
15. $52,500 - Mustaphi, Semonti M. (ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR AND DEPUTY PRESS SECRETARY TO THE FIRST LADY)
16. $50,000 - Jarvis, Kristen E. (SPECIAL ASSISTANT FOR SCHEDULING AND TRAVELING AIDE TO THE FIRST LADY)
17. $45,000 - Lechtenberg, Tyler A. (ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF CORRESPONDENCE FOR THE FIRST LADY)
18. Tubman, Samantha (DEPUTY ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR,SOCIAL OFFICE)
19. $40,000 - Boswell, Joseph J. (EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE CHIEF OF STAFF TO THE FIRST LADY)
20. $36,000 - Armbruster, Sally M. (STAFF ASSISTANT TO THE SOCIAL SECRETARY)
21. Bookey, Natalie (STAFF ASSISTANT)
22. Jackson, Deilia A. (DEPUTY ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF CORRESPONDENCE FOR THE FIRST LADY)

Oh my, what arrogance and a waste of taxpayer money.... Are some working as volunteers? as I do not notice a "payrate" for 6? 10 and 11 may be on the same rate... Is it not that the bigger the title the more stupid they are? - well not so stupid that they do not graciously accept the gratuity or whatever the gift of money is called...

Its nothing, nothing in comparison the rest of the debt, and how much do you think it takes to keep Obamas shoes polished and his suits pressed.

At 300 trillion that is .00000034%.

Im not sure about the 00000034% bit because numbers don't matter any more.

But most of them don't work daily, just pop in now and again to water the flowers. Ille bet the gardner earns more than that.

Obama could fix this tomorrow,-- like Peter of Doncaster

I think another 6 zeros, but I only have 10 fingers and get confused when toes are used? do I "carry one: when adding the zeros when counting on the toes too?

American economics is getting like "Alice in Wonderland's" fantasy world - reality ceases to have any meaning, theft is good, bad is good, fraud and deception is legal and the way they banter "FYM" is that legal? or, just the normal incestuous thing to do there?....

Seriously, almost fits the definition of "Sodom & Gomorrah" or however it is spelt out...

This country U.S. gets and well deserves a lot of criticism it gets here. Heck I'm probably as good as anyone here about dishing it out to the deserving minority that's responsible for most all of this mess. But there's still some good people left in the U.S. and it's sometimes nice to see something that reinstalls faith in your fellow man.

I saw this elsewhere and had to post.
The video is definitely worth the watch.
Every fallen soldier deserves to come home to this.

FALLEN HERO SGT JOHN C. BEALE RETURNS HOME TO GA

Killed in action the week before, the body of Sergeant First Class John
C. Beale was returned to Falcon Field, in Peachtree City, Georgia, just
south of Atlanta, on June 11, 2009. The Henry County Police Department
escorted the procession to the funeral home in McDonough, Georgia. A
simple notice in local papers indicated the road route to be taken and
the approximate time.

This was filmed during the procession by a State Trooper.

Nowadays one can be led to believe that America no longer respects honor
and no longer honors sacrifice outside the military. Be it known that
there are many places in this land where people still recognize the
courage and impact of total self-sacrifice. Georgia remains one of those
graceful places.

The link below is a short travelogue of that day's remarkable and painful
journey. But only watch this if you wish to have some of your faith in
people restored.

I join you all in your grief... It is sadder that he and his unit could not have been there to receive the appreciation in person.... I cannot express the words in my thoughts, I just hope you understand and appreciate the intent of what I am trying to say....

I served 1963 to 1969 and now feel military, and or "external" intervention, in most cases could have, and should have, been avoided...

Mas there is no need for apology for your part or perspective. So much of what you post is actually right or way to close for comfort, though sometimes misdirected at the general population.

This country is in shambles, but it is the bankers, wall street, and money controllers, unions and the corrupt politicians that owe the above way way too many favors for getting them elected in the first place. But they weren't the people who were there holding flags as the fallen soldier passed by, they were the very people who put them in harms way. Probably as a means to expand on their own personal wealth and greed somehow, way, shape, or form.

Unfortunately the way they've got the electoral system set up now in this country they've made it impossible or nearly so for a real American with good common since and real moral values to rise up in the political field. They've pretty much have to be pre-approved by the good old boys that are already in power including all the corrupt people above before they have any chance to get on an election ticket.

It's my dream and unfortunately the way I see it, it will remain a dream. That somehow, someway, there will be an opportunity to replace all these bums in political office now, with some real Americans such as those holding the flags in the video.

But as long as the very people who have caused all the grief to start with are allowed to and have to pre-approve any citizen before they can run for any office, I can't see that happening. Because they'll keep delivering up the same ho-hum already owned by them, in our pocket choices they have in the past.

We need to throw all the bums out and start over, but again it's just wishful thinking.
