Now, to change the topic - climate change, a debate is "raging" on Australias' RN http://www.abc.net.au/rn/nationalint...08/2280736.htm or if you missed it can be downloaded as a podcast -

Mornin' all "G'day mateys, avast there, 'tis time to pontificate?"

The climate has changed here and I see cloudless skies, 19 C in the "office", calm seas no wind, and "met" says 9 deg Celsius and a 5 kph yesterday... The birds are happy and twittering about and no ships, boats or yachts to be seen....

I may be off-air as I change over computers and go for a bit of a wander round the countryside, so Frosty and Safie may be using my avatar...

Not quite, practising for induction into the "wombat lodge hall of fame" (infamy), where one just "eats - roots - shoots and leaves"

Mornin' All (well 'tis mornin' here)

Wombats, after they have eaten, had a good root (****) and delivered their sperm (Shot their bolt) are wont to leave as, having spread their genes, no point in hanging around - - (sigh) - - - - - I mean Emu's are the stupid ones, the female plays around, and dumps her eggs for the male to tend and rear? - - - And some others induce the male (with a bit on the side) to look after their eggs and progeny too - and he thinks he is the father of all - - - vanity is the fool - - - reminds me of the boys who must have BIG V8's and PHAT tyres, BIG and LOUD exhaust pipes and so on all to disguise their inadequacy in the reproductive department..... hehehehehe?

this is a sad story for all lawnmower owners,,,read and BEWARE! hehe
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
NORTH POLE, Alaska - Alaska State Troopers used lights and sirens to apprehend a North Pole man suspected of driving under the influence after he allegedly led them on a slow-speed chase that covered several lawns.

The 20-year-old man was on a riding mower. Sunday's pursuit lasted about 200 feet and reached speeds of up to 5 mph before a trooper got out of a cruiser and told the man to stop.

Troopers received a call early Sunday complaining of an intoxicated man driving a mower. They said Wyatt Lewis's blood-alcohol content was 0.18 percent, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08 percent.

Driving a lawnmower while drunk qualifies for a DUI charge. Lewis was also charged with failure to stop at the direction of a peace officer.

No phone number was listed for Lewis in North Pole and a message left with the Fairbanks Correctional Center on Tuesday was not immediately returned.

That is a case of screws on the leaves stopping someone on grass (and booze) - does their jurisdiction extend to mowing neighbours lawns? surely it only applies to "public roads" another case of "the Nanny State" where one is governed by the very breath we take?

Time to bolt - - where are my nuts?
