LOl I love these. I get about 3 a day. Somtimes I answer them with a lot of bugus info but put the phone number for our local police or Attorney general. That way when they call to scam me out of my money, they are allready talking to the correct person.

I also love that the FEDEX COURIER DELIVERY COMPANY DIRECTOR has a yahoo.com e-mail address.

If/when, - and that is a big IF/when, - the ice on Iceland/Greenland melts that will allow a 23 ft (7m) odd rise in the global sea surface. Depending on who answers "and what about Antarctica" the answer could be as little as an additional 29ft (9m) to something lots more.... ? up to ? - You can do the mathematics, if you are that worried...

One caveat is that it has to melt first & 'from a point of no return to complete melt would take 10 or so years. At the moment, Antarctica is stacking on ice at a great rate, Why? - The buoys measuring currents and temperatures around Antarctica are showing alarmingly high and unexpected temperatures, so much so as to be causing concern as to the continuing abundance of crill - which is the base of many aquatic food chains on which humanity (not just the Japanese for their whale meat) depends...

The land based economy is nothing, comparatively, to worry about, if much of the residential & commercial land is flooded and the oceanic food chains are disrupted...

You've been hoaxed. That bit of "rhetoric" has been bouncing around on the Web for years. Some ***** simply added the introductory sentence with the gibberish about Michael Richards appearing in court as a result of his on stage meltdown. Richards committed no crime, and had no court appearance.

As far as the points raised in the tome, I wonder if they would seem fair to an independent observer from the 9th Sector of the Numwarian Galactic Empire familiar with the history of humankind. He/she/it might recall that:

Miss Black America was begun in an era when only white women were permitted to compete for Miss America.

Exclusively black clubs, colleges, and other organizations were begun in an era when minorities were not allowed in "regular" clubs, colleges, and other organizations. "Regular", for a long time, meant Whites only.

Anyone who writes the statement, "You carjack us and shoot us" is making one of the most unfair and grossly generalized statements ever.

Admittedly, there are stupidities and inequities on all sides when it comes to race. It is true that racial name calling and mockery of supposed deficiencies is racist and intolerable ... unless the target is a white male, in which case it's OK. In some circles the idiocy that "If a black man calls a black woman a n_____ger whore" it's not so bad; it's different" is actually considered to have some value.

At the beginning of the 20th Century, labor unions grew in strength in response to the drastic and deadly abuses of working people by large corporations. The unions had a good purpose and were instrumental in improving conditions. Near the end of the century, having achieved high pay and benefits for their members, they had, as well, created a sense of entitlement leading to the belief that those should continue for all, whether earned or not, and regardless of outside economic conditions. Their single-minded pursuit of the early goals long after the need for such tactics eventually made them outmoded.

Organizations such as the NAACP and the concept of some type of remedial treatment for blacks because of past injustices were justified at one time. They had a good purpose and have been instrumental in improving conditions. I believe that their single-minded focus on the early goals, however, have left them close-minded and unwilling to face up to the reality that social conditions have changed substantially. The problem now is to help the too many blacks who believe the lie that victimhood is the means of their continued advancement. True social equality will be here when everyone believes that they are responsible for what they achieve in life.

Recently a prominent Jewish rabbi was asked what he would think if he was told that 70% of Jewish babies were born out of wedlock and raised with no father around, that 40% of Jewish children failed to graduate high school, that 25% of Jewish males served time in jail before they were 25; and that the reason for all of this was the Holocaust? He said it would be utter nonsense; past atrocities and the attitudes that allowed them can't be allowed to dominate the present and the future.

Messrs Sharpton and Jackson should have been listening.

Of course, we have an entire industry devoted to perpetuating the myth that blacks are somehow "different"; that their crimes are society's fault, that it's racist to suggest that they themselves should promote responsible fatherhood, stable families, avoidance of drugs, and encouragement of hard work and study as the means of advancement to a better economic level. When the black entertainer Bill Cosby said exactly those things he was shouted down by white liberals as well as black "leaders". Of course he was. White politicians as well as black "spokesmen" make millions pandering to the victimhood myth. The day most blacks wake up, each of those bas_____ds is out of a job.

I recognize that details of society are different in SA and other countries; circumstances vary somewhat. I submit, however, that the principle is the same.
