When Rachel Carlson wrote Silent Spring she knew everyone would be checking to see that she was on the money so she spent years making sure she had all her ducks lined up.
When All Gore wrote his lecture he must have thrown it together cause its chalk full of holes.

Embarrassing really but it does happen from time to time. Good science takes time and requires multiple data sets before decent results can be had

Good morning from Greece.
Some say that nature does a cycle( like economy etc etc.). If you are on the top of the cycle, then you expect a fall one day and vice versa.
Here in my country (Greece) people are not concerned about the 'nature' in general. For instance, you can see people driving and smoking in their car..
then they threw the rest of the cigar out window. Same thing with papers they get from toll stations..a couple of moments ago they pass the toll station, white papers fly all over your head!
AND then you hear, 'I recycle alu-cans or scrap papers from home use'
I say no-****...come on, and then you get rid of papers in the middle of nowhere!?
Anyways, another dramatic 'event' which takes action in places where they 'park' yachts in Glyfada is the battery/spare parts replacement. During repair season of boats, you can actually see some people throwing everything into the sea! Come on...
I totally believe that everything is a chain. As a result, in my opinion human is the one to blame for global warming.
I hope that new kids, will learn from our father's mistakes and dont repeat their mistakes in any case!

to me paper is more an unsightly eyesore than longterm pollution, it will degrade

and plants die and decompose so they are co2 neutral, giving off as much as they absorb

it seems only man has a lasting affect on the environment over short time spans, nature takes a more leisurely pace

Nothing in all of the possible Universe`s is static.The Human race almost became extinct in the past through the changing system (which is what Humans call time) Humans talk about sustainability and groth in the same breath which is a contradiction and can not produce any advantages.With all the massive life on Earth now something will have to give.. but apparently new energy can not be created or existing energy destroyed. Many Humans do not believe in Evolution.

People shouldn't spoil where they get their food. Idiots do the things you described above. Still, global warming is caused by the Sun, not by littering. Don't be fooled.
