| Masalai, little is available in english. BBC has the most of that little: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/5195834.stm For those who glow on the bad press from and directed at us latinos: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/m...36/ai_3621920/ Even Spain and Portugal are identified as the culprits (for colonisation of the continent and introduction of european concepts of "economy") Socialists know how to deal with the crisis of capitalism: http://www.brookings.edu/opinions/20..._cardenas.aspx IMF thinks we are ok: http://www.imf.org/external/pubs/ft/...CAR050609A.htm |

| Thanks masrapido, I am more interested in economic feelings & perception from "your neck of the woods" as the majors say nothing... As per your post 885, just snippets or summaries every so often so I, and others so interested, can get a feel for the economic situation, Thanks.... OK modified - - just being "protective of this thread/forum" because of its diverse views, - - but - - name calling, really angry & frustrated posts and such, I still advocate.... When you feel really pissed of and need to rant use "A grumpy old bathplug raves"... we all know where to find it ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

| no way Ive kinda always got a bang out of the way Masrapido defends himself I say he's got style and a good solidly unique perspective exactly the diversity some of these threads ( afew of which are no more than sing along's; can you say what do we think of climate change ) are lacking Ive developed a serious respect for the varied outlooks represented by folks like him in this thread our Bosnian friend Senad for instance great viewpoint invaluable to a real discussion about the real world rather than some canned gov issued news flash designed to tow a party line might not or might agree with the guy but its an invaluable contribution to have a first hand opinion |

| Here's something of interest for a few of you: The Fed, merely a week after issuing $28 billion in 7 year bonds via its puppet, the US Treasury, of which $10 billion ended up being purchased by primary dealers, has turned and bought 47% of the primary allocated bonds in Open Market Purchases. This is undisputed monetization removed simply via one primary dealer and less than 5 days of temporal separation in order to leave no easy trace. "A more honest and open approach would have been for the Fed to simply buy them outright at the auction but this way, using 'primary dealers' and 'POMOs' and all these other extra steps the basic fact that the Fed is openly monetizing US government debt is effectively hidden from a not-too-terribly inquisitive US press and public." The question is did the Fed implicitly tell the primary dealers they are merely holding the treasuries for a flip, and that it would acquire them immediately. Absent this $4.8 billion in effectively monetized bonds, what would the Bid-To-Cover have been for the primaries? Would this have been the second practically failed auction for USTs after the deplorable 5 year auction results a day prior? One wonders if there would have been 62% indirect interest in these bonds (which the day before had a measly 32.5% indirect bid) if the purchasers were aware of the Fed's immediate prompt monetization of a large part of the directs' balance. It is truly a sad state of affairs when the Fed has to manipulate public and media perception in this way, and has to cover up for the complete lack of interest in US Treasuries. "The speed of the shell game is accelerating. This immediate repurchase of newly auction bonds by the Fed tells us that demand for these bonds is not nearly as high as advertised, and that things are not quite as strong as represented. And oh, by the way, don't expect any stock market weakness while so many billions are being shoveled out the Fed and into the pockets of the primary dealers. They'll have to do something with all that freshly minted cash....." I think it's clear folks; there is no "free market" and what is left of the stock and bond markets have become a pyramid scheme that makes Bernie Madoff look like a piker. |

| Van , your a young man you should know better than to criticize the old for not wanting to go out and play. Most of these guys have spent a life time crabbing. You obviously feel you have a wonderful life and want to tell the world about it. Enjoy your crabbing come back in 30 years. |

| Oh give over Frosty, The nice guy just gave an insightful report into the shenanigans and petty thievery (they only talk in billions and trillions) of the Fed and its shareholders (bankers with an office in NY).... Encourage the man to divulge more and donate some small gold bars to my boat building program... I am also looking for sponsors to establish a rest home for those with money, seeking to establish a safe refuge on a remote, self sufficient, sub tropical island paradise...

To trade like that especially day trade you need to sit in front of a computer, the very thing "we" were criticized for ,--i don't trade,-- too risky for me. You ever heard of the tortoise and the hare story? Who won? I am definitely a tortoise. And over that last 2 years I am happy that I am. Gives me time to get my fingers smelling of crabs, fish, beer, motorcycles boy have I got smelly hands. |

| "oh news flash BBC today I read an article about Colombian incursions into Venezuela think about it Chavez has been a thorn in the side of "democracy" since he took his first breath why would Columbia a known US puppet state make foray's into its neighbors territory unless directed by the US just when the US is involved in talks to open military bases in Columbia hmmmmmm seem a little fishy to anyone else" - Boston Obama and Chavez are butt buddies. Why would Obama do anything to harsh the mellow? ![]() "This is the worst GD forum in the world to sign into" -Van Heusen If I may, excepting stuff to do with boats, "This is the worst GD forum in the world to buy into" "I think most N Americans can read that" ya arrogant prick, I, for one, have a better grasp of English or Spanish than either of you. You betray yourself by continuously denegrating "USAnians" when you impliedly profess how irrelevant we are. Why are we so important that you even are a member of this forum (you obviously don't care F-all about boats) You spew almost continuously about some place that you have only read about! Grow it, build it, do it, in Australia - why don't ya? Forget this piss-poor failed experiment that is the USA! Move on! |

| Obama is not in charge, he is controlled, just like all your "elected officials", by virtue of their desire to keep their snouts in the feeding trough for at least another term, and to do so in the American system requires lots & lots of money, and who has "lots & lots of money" - your beloved FED who will just print some more ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() (no less credible than your offering?), but I have supporting evidence - USA is broke - http://www.usdebtclock.org/ the US economy is bankrupt...
