That is it - some stuff that should be useful in establishing the big picture and some sarcastic humour - or otherwise - depending on your needs and interest... - - The markets still seem to be somewhat direction-less and looking for that trigger to action... - Do your own reading from your favourite sources and post links or copies/summaries here, as you may have a slant that is useful to someone trying to stay ahead in these troubling times...

The absolute arrogance of some in America "...By Rex Nutting - - WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- A bipartisan group of 40 lawmakers unveiled new legislation in Congress on Wednesday that would punish China and other countries that manipulate the value of their currency to subsidize their exports. Sponsored chiefly by Sens. Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., and Jim Bunning, R-Ky., the bill would require the Commerce Department to treat currency misalignment as a prohibited subsidy, which could lead to punitive tariffs on imports from the offending country under World Trade Organization rules. Past and current administrations have refused to label China as a currency manipulator. Sponsors of the bill say China's undervalued yuan has cost millions of U.S. jobs...."

Kindly fix your own shinanigans first, - and stop the global collateral damage caused by the FED, who are manipulating exchange rates and commodities prices so much so that most of the rest of the world has great difficulty in making international trades (not necessarily to America, but because the good is by convention valued in $US, and the "international position" in trade that the $US has taken as its "established position) and is fraught with unacceptable risk because of the 'game-play' by Bernanke and the other global money controllers determined to fix the USA problem by printing money - Were these foolish people asleep during the economics 101 lecture? - - Do they not see the errors made by Zimbabwe who test ran the current US position to the extent that they are printing trillion dollar notes? who is mad and who is just real stupid?

I have been carefully following international trade, commodities, exchange rates, precious metals for more than 2 years and evidence of market manipulation is becoming more and more obvious as time passes... The prime culprits seem to be working through the FED - those that control the fed, those I have been calling "the Money Managers" because they effectively own and control the US$-printing-presses operated by the FED, and through that, control the "elected" US Government....

This is the only explanation of the dire global economic situation that is forced onto us all, instead of the US elected officials doing the right thing and enforcing and rectifying legislation that has allowed such stupid decisions to be made from as early as the last DEPRESSION - and a catalogue of stupid fixes that have only postponed the inevitable and made it more intense.... USA was once A Great Nation, and now is quickly earning an additional adjective to that title to become a Greatly Despised Nation, which is so sad and regrettable, and the blame lies in abject apathy and disinterest by the electorate, as it is internally created bubbles that can do nothing but burst into nothing from which they were created...

This view is derived from international figures and charts with opinion ONLY from within USA by people who have "got-it-right" so far in indicating and forewarning of these hard economic times. Do not be so arrogant or senseless as to try to blame "outsiders", the bad news is entirely home grown inside the once great US of A....

May your gods bless you and keep you, - - Pray carefully and hopefully.

The globe (earth) is reportedly still here? - - but the economic situation is **** - America - sort out your own financial situation - no one will believe you (the collective noun) if you continue to lie, cheat, thieve, manipulate and print money and do lots of other things that have HUGE adverse effects on the rest of the world - when you try to admonish others - talk about the pot calling the kettle black.... With a national debt requiring numbers used only in measuring intergalactic distances to describe your negative fiscal situation the mind boggles at the stupidity of those holding the wheels of industry and power in your once illustrious country, now gathering a reputation as a cesspool of deceit and corruption?

We know all this and your point is...
The world has gone to the dogs, don't blame the US only. Name one country with honorable leaders and we will spare them....

Solomon Islands (no money but corruptible because they have very little to nothing) - The Maldives, because they expect to be underwater (waterworld) soon and no one would loan money in that situation, - Australia because too many (brain-dead?), blindly follow what America does, because America did it... - Honourable leaders have all been adversely corrupted by the American way of life - the virus spreads by contact.... so, that only leaves many small islands who have not been invaded by "hawaian shirted, camera toting loudmouthed," tourists?...

The US Government and top levels of business in USA are exposed and appear complicit directly in the global economic woes being experienced, Woe is we, shame and scandal is plain to see?

masalai, you should recognise a comparison from your own religion: it is like throwing perls to the pigs.

and when you go to a school in kanzas, or ohio that have teachers like this (see attachment) what else should you expect...

(just watch the knifes flying now...)

Oh how accurate and appropriate - 'tis the other way around here... My wife has quit teaching as the students have absolutely no interest in learning.... A nice state of affairs and demonstration of a lack of appreciation of her efforts of more than 30 years, One of many who have said enough is enough and left the service.... The next stream of teachers will certainly follow slavishly in America's footsteps and propagate absolute stupidity and lies for the edification of generations to come - may a forgiving and understanding god help them - the cause (humanity) and experiment (giving humans freedom of choice) has proven to be a failure...

It is Friday and the wankers are wanking, or, - - - - http://financialsense.com/Market/wrapup.htm

So, what is new? - - A continuing disconnect between reality and market behaviour - - has everyone gone absolutely nuts - - almost like a clearing sale on a farm that has been sold to real-estate developers, the old rusted iron is selling better than the livestock on the farm ever did - people seem to buy absolute rubbish at exorbitant prices - why?, is there madness in the air?

Someone has the appearance of exhibiting some common sense? http://financialsense.com/editorials...2009/0521.html

If you read nothing else over the weekend, at least read this it is worthy of deep consideration GLOBALLY - http://financialsense.com/fsu/editor...2009/0521.html

a view from the past to the future http://financialsense.com/fsu/editor...2009/0521.html a sobering lesson and a reality check...

Well, Thursday was my 21'st birthday (for the 43rd time) and, with Lovely Lady, drove through the rain to the Gold Coast for the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show, which was also celebrating its 21st anniversary... It (the first day) was postponed/cancelled - bugger that, I saw an opportunity, put on my best "I own this place" attitude and went in - - all of the security looked away sheepishly - no one dared ask for the $45 admission fee each (I don't know what it was but that seems impressive and sounds good)... - - One over-zealous security got a bit uppity when I walked into a marquee saying something like "we're not open and the repair crew are working so it is an OHS issue & you should leave" - OK, but I came back later as repairs were nearing completion.

Most of the stands were not set up, but importantly the ones that I needed to get info/quotes etc had people in attendance and only too pleased to help - I wanted to buy a compass of the discount table of one nameless booth to be told - they are not priced yet - soooo tempted to accept the offer of a 5 finger discount - but my honesty forbade such indiscretion... - - I came home with the cooktop and about 2.5kg of booklets, catalogues and brochures, expecting some emails on 48v DC gensets that can deliver up to 8000 watts (8KVA) for up to one hour - continuous at 6kva - - to charge my batteries and run my electric motors - still waiting for the emails....

I did snaffle a good bargain - I have been looking around for near on 6 months for a ceramic cooktop (2 elements - 240v, 15 amp) - perfect - at a beautiful price - There may be some left it is a booth in marque A (I think) but it had an old (model T?) utility as the display centrepiece and the people there were nice and helpful - Go visit - mostly airconditioners/refrigeration systems?

I feel sorry for the luxury stink boat market - all lined up on display - I feel the poor economic situation may put the dampers in that sector for a while, and a lot of other stuff like that 5 deck 72m cat from the Whitsundays trying to drum up business and stay secure alongside in the strong winds of the previous night that lashed and damaged much around N to S of Brisbane, now dumping on Lismore & Grafton in N NSW... Say a prayer for those who have suffered...
