Madoff was as a flea on an MAMMOTH of corruption... he could have plea-bargained and exposed the insider view of corruption and become an "American folk hero"... robbed his own kind - just a pathetic excuse for humanity...

Tourists are all too full of preservatives with great danger of choking on implants. Forget it.

well Mass there was a bumper sticker that was popular a while back with the libertarians
said
this fall fire em all

I always thought we needed to take it a step further as an example to others who might like to carry on with the same old corruption

so I dreamed up my own bumper sticker

I think that we can lay to rest the fantasy that the women of Australia look like Olivia Newton John...

If you seek lowlife, maybe, by association, you are one too? She has a pink Cadillac convertible and follows the US Fleet - takes on 3 or 4 sailors at a time from all indications - Your kind?

Late to jump in here but we have gone from this

Please keep it to practical stuff that your experience has determined... (no dreams or fanciful wish lists please as most cruising yachties are NOT mega rich or even a bit wealthy - apart from their boat and lifestyle)

How do you plan to meet some of the possible future challenges, such as fuel needs, income generation, maintenance, spares, repairs use of non-chandlery sourced equipment and gear?????

The reason? - I am about to commence building a Bob Oram 39'C and figure any expertise anyone how is cruising may wish to share would be useful to me and many other cruising members....
To a gold bug and financial advisors thread (without disclaimers)

I put the boat on hold for a bit, (burnout, operation and sitting on hands letting the GFC play ou a bit) but I am getting back into the project again for the final run.

Plan hasn't really changed, leisurely run up the QLD coast and to Darwin and surrounds before leaping off to Sabah, Malaysia, Thailand areas where the cost of living is considerably more affordable..

Well it is an "open forum" so if you have something to contribute, do so, or join the 100 or so daily readers....

financial advisors since when do they know anything?

Gold bugs? I have a precious metal position.... and use this to keep my reading up to date in the markets of interest... relating to global economics, forex & commodities, - - and if you fail to see gross manipulation then you do not follow these markets...

Disclaimers and you don't pay ask the hooker above or her pimp mark....

No, Mas. You just can't get my country off of your mind (tho you profess to believe it is the least important roach motel on the face of the planet). Just giving you your own medicine. Gold bug, yes. Speaking of which, where is your beloved Doradito?
