| Heat and sunlight cause fading. You are amply supplied with both.

| Vinyl stickers shrink and curl at the edges as they weather and go bad sooner than paint.

| What if i take a varnish, hardener and tenner combo on top of it ? Would that seal it and extend its life?

| Always good to see when we have nothing to provide but honesty. And you are right Hoyt, it does not last. One can put a PU paint job on it, that will fade later than others, but in Egypt the best stains fade out after, say three years. On megayachts the paintjob can make for 25% of the overall cost !!!! (and has to be redone every 5 - 7 years................................) Richard |

| Indeed the weather in Egypt means you are able to use your boat almost 9-10 months (if you deploy in certain area's) 3 years is acceptable i recon and i did find a supplier who prints using 3M vinyl (and cuts to shape as well) Would i be able to get the effect if i added vinyl at the gel coat stage, apply the mold with a color then remove the vinyl to get the effect ? At least that way its gel coat color.

| PU? Not sure what that is .... I have a friend who does similar sticker / shape / color installation on boats (been doing it for 8 years now) so ill give him a call tomorrow to see how he gets away with it. So the frenzy in the above pic is PU ?
