Actually "Sir", I have in fact experienced Britain's "finest" (bit of an oxymoron really) anyway,, a Norton "88" Featherbed frame. Now "that" was a motorcycle.
Easiest way to upset a Harley owner, tell him how much of his electrics were made in japan.
Still when it came to self abuse I participated, I owned an Italian motorbike. A Moto Guzzi.. It looked good (even car drivers commented) it HANDELD, unlike pommy bikes or Harleys and,,,, it kept breaking things faster then I could fix them (sigh).
But if you want to pull the chicks, only a Harley will do. Just don't try to ride them around any sort of corner.

They have enough talk , yes the owners do tend to.

Theres a big gang of Harley ****---- sorry bikers where I live.

I cant go out with them with my home bike --a Suzuki intruder 1400. Black with straight throughs.

No Harley no ride---Oh please how old are we?

Any way its probably because they wouldnt keep up with me.

An Intruder 1400 doesnt know what hills are.

Oh, by the way-- they never go out without a pick up vehicle.

    Jack,

Believe it or not, mine never left me stranded. Been almost 20 yrs. since I rode Harleys though.

There are ten times more now than then. People think of owning one as some kind of status symbol. Many tend to snobs & fairweather riders. Spend more time polishing than riding. Instant badass-just add Harley.

It was different in the past.

I've ridden a Honda Shadow and a Harley Electra-couch across the Western half of the U.S. a number of times. I love all bikes and they all have some strong points and some weak points. I like the Harley and it has never failed to get me from point Eh? to point B. Who cares what you ride? It isn't about anyone else except the guy twisting the throttle. I wave to anyone on two wheels - pink vespa to the Boss Hoss. Life is to short to be a bike snob.

I'm afraid that's human nature, they dump rubbish anywhere - usually in the most picturesque spots. Here in Australia it's old mattresses and car bodies. You're lucky that it's just a piece of scrap iron..... :D
