Everglades Challenge 2014

It begins March 1. Let's hope for a good turnout. I will try to get some good pictures of the start.

 

Great, I love seeing some of the "unique" vessels that turn up. Would love to have something similar to this in Australia, maybe one day Ill make it over to the US and give it a go

 

The contestants have lots to do before the start, but it really would make the reporting more interesting if it was possible to see a picture of each boat referenced to the "tribe name", the "real" name, and the name of the boat.

I have sometimes tried to connect the dots months after the race. Eventually I just give up.

Even being in the USA has not allowed me to be at the race. I feel for those down under.

 

Hopefully I can match some names to the images.

 

Do you participate in the sailing or managing the race?

 

Nope. I am a Looky Lou. But I live close enough to make a day trip out of it. I also like to camp at the island when it isn't too crowded.
Right now the park is closed due to drinking water problem.
