dskira,
These links would be a good start to keeping abreast of the news that the mass media will not cover http://boats-n-stuff.com.au/forum/in...3.new.html#new I update as soon as the information arrives...

The system was exposed at the hearings run by the CFTC and net-cast live on the Thursday before Easter... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wIMpe9SjfQ (he was time constrained so listen carefully)... This website http://www.thedailybell.com/940/GATA...tatements.html gives a good overview of the troubles we are in because of the extreme levels of fraud and corruption... It appears that the whole financial and political system in USA is too corrupt to work and the main players have found a lawless place where they can continue in their fraud.... almost unhindered... because the politicians are controlled and the watchdogs are asleep and toothless...

Just think what would happen when the world realises that the USA is so far in debt that its currency (US$) is worthless and NO ONE will accept transactions in US$, not even to use as toilet paper.... NOT A JOKE... Then think carefully what will happen in your country that IMPORTS EVERYTHING.... Prepare for something as catastrophic as that and you may well survive... Go find "Jim-the-one-much" who used to be in Texas when he was active on boatdesign.net, and is now possibly home in Maine near you... I feel he is a survivor...

Goldman Sachs, JPM, HSBC, and the other shareholders and OWNERS of the USA FEDERAL RESERVE BANK are perpetrating the biggest fraud on the US$4.5trillion a year bullion markets as well as most other markets that take their interest........

Yes now I remember, I said you seams unhappy with the world.
Of course you right, but what can we do?
I live a good life, meaning I live with very little means, with the most beautiful woman, we take time to complement each other, I design boat, I built them, for people who share my values, I do not travel anymore, I don't watch the news, I just do my duty of voting and paying my taxes.
My Chevy was bought in 89, and my log cabin in the middle of nowhere is my castle surronded by beautiful trees and with mooses and deer coming around the house.
I don't hurt people, and I stay away from the one who want to hurt me.
It was not like that always, quite the contrary, but I learn that if I live in peace and sobriety (not from booze but from thoughts), I get less furious, less distracted and don't miss opportunity to discover really good people.
For long time, a sentiment of constant anger blind me of many magnificent moment, the anger make me doing the wrong thing, and made me very arrogant.
I hope all that is behind me, and everyday is a beautiful day. I make it beautiful, with abandonement.
And if **** happens, I try to be wise enough to see if I can make the difference by reacting or if it is out of my reach.
If I make a planking right, I am the king of my domaine. I micromanage my life.
I am happy and in love with my life, it took me a very long time to understand the concept.

Daniel

dskira,
All you need now is a vegie garden, some ability to grow free range poultry, or other protein and to be able to store surplus vegetables & meat during the winter - autumn and you have the potential to be totally independent of whatever may befall the world... Well done...

Have a thorough read through this - lots of helpful information here http://www.autopot.com.au/default.as...3-4A650FCBEB76

Thank you. I do the most things myself, I do my own paint for house and boat, I cook a lot with a clay pot, I try to be with the smallest "foot print" as they now said
One thing I can't do, drive me nuts, never succeeded, always fail, with rotten result, is a veggie garden. They escape me, they are devil, they are mean to me, they want me to fail. I am at war with them, and I will win before I die, I will have ONE tomato inset of buying them like all my veggies

dskira, a "glass-house' to extend your growing season and the autopot system may help as it is not "in the soil" but a tendency to over-feed, over-water and also forget to water as well as insect attack - A small "starter pack" and gravity feed may work for you - the key is in the valve mechanism that feeds the water to individual groups of pots by filling the "saucer" with a predetermined depth and not adding more until the "saucer is empty and "dry"... With a large "saucer/water holding tray" set on a level "table" you may be able to service a dozen or so large pots with each "autopot-valve"... 2 or 3 long tables (24 to 36 pots of about 15inch diameter at the top) inside a glass or plastic roofed glasshouse that would withstand the rigours of winter in your area and extend your growing season should ensure adequate vegetables or trade some with neighbours / the local store for that which you do not grow...

That is hopefully going to fix my weakness in intense gardening, as I had no trouble in 100acre plus farming paddocks, so maybe you will also benefit by what works for me...

Read the entire website and download all the "pdf files", (you may need to download "Adobe reader" from apple/mac to read them...), as they make a good reference resource, Then think about things for a bit and buy some of the watering valves... Mount the "saucers" trays on permanent benches about 2 ft off the ground so picking tomatoes will be at shoulder height and lettuce etc at about waist height and out of reach of most insects and other attacking stuff in your "glass-house"... Vent during daytime to keep the humidity down a bit...

Good luck with your gardening... Check my global economics link as the situation is getting worse very quickly with regular updates on MASSIVE fraud and market manipulation becoming evident... The collapse will be quite soon...

Ha ha

I have a green thumb to beat the band
cant kill anything if I tried

ps
automated watering systems never work out to well
you have to "feel" the dirt and know the plants
its a gift I guess but one that can be learned if you have patience
helps if you have some one around to show you how but still

best of luck
B

Here Boston you beat me.
I look at my thumb and tell him: BE GREEN
Now I am reading the Masalai link, and you will see I will be on the ball for the best tomatoes in the world. One day.
But as you say Boston it take patience.
I should call my secret weapon: My son, is a cook and a gardener. He serve to the clients the veggies he grows, and make the bread too. In Spain
Come back son!

Hundreds of recipies, collect them then gradually work your way through them until you find one to your liking... It is like for your children. - - The tender loving care and nurturing that counts... Then try some of the earlier ones using the winning method...

This is an interesting thread- Im sure ill get criticisim for this but one of the reasons i wanted to build my sub was because---"what if" of course It wasnt the ONLY reason..but the idea of 2012- did play a role in my plans for one.

i mean what if all those cultures that predict catastrophe are right??-To me it would be the only way to escape a cataclysm provided the seas werent boiling or there was a sea left etc...i wouldnt want to risk living on the surface after a giant solar flare or a polar shift, or a large meteor strike hit-- underwater may be the only safe place to be...my two cents.
