There is a whole wealth of info here: http://www.storerboatplans.com/Faq/faqindex.html

And Here: http://bateau2.com/howto-index.php

I have read a few tips here I might take some issue with but for the most part...good stuff.

more good info on wood and some plastics. It is a commercial site but still useful. http://www.worldpanel.com/FAQ.htm Scroll down for the best info.

Vulkyn, if you keep looking you will in time have a huge collection of valuable articles. The key is to research all aspects to boating. As you progress other things will begin to catch your interest and after that some more... the good news - and the bad news - is the list is almost endless

But it's great, interesting and learnfull, you can measure your head each night and make sure it doesn't swell too much from the stuff you pump in it

simple advice

"They" always told be to be patient and research completely any new idea or supply BEFORE purchasing or cutting holes in the boat etc. Sounded simple enough at the time and I recall those exortation's fondly looking back at how many things fell by the way side!

My head is swelling so i guess thats a good thing! (or it could be the bump i got from hitting my head yesterday.)

A very good link for boating safety!! (its very helpful to read prior to boat building as it might shine some light on important considerations!)

For beginners like myself, make sure you have a read through this post as well .... one's attitude is as important as his experience and knowledge (if not more important.)
New ideas, and new materials
