Good for you; so do I. When we and others walk our dogs in our local provincial park, most owners are very responsible during the Summer when the tourists are present in droves. This changes in the Winter.

I continue to clean up during my Winter walks, but judging from the state of the pathways after a thaw I am in a tiny minority. It gets particularly gross in the early Spring.

It seems other dog owners think it's OK to let their dogs foul the area because there are no visitors, but there are still hundreds of locals (mostly dog owners) using the park.

Isn't that how the game of "hockey" got started?

No. That was football - very large dog in that case. Hockey also started in Winter but with past-their-sell-by-date hardburger patties, soon changed to hard rubber because the hardburgers were too hard. Later hardburgers were changed to hamburgers due to a spelling error in an early TV commercial. We need to start a history thread ...

Having lived in the country for so long the idea of chasing after my dog with a plastic baggy is enough to make me want to just wait some more on my next dog. Besides Zeus's collar is still hanging by the door and I'm just not ready to get another dog yet. Maybe once I get up to the PNW

cheers

Im fed up of talking to dog owners. Every dog owner has the perfect dog that never shits never smells never bites and is of course friendly. It never shits on there house garden no it does'nt why would it **** on its own back yard --it shits next door.

But of course thats not your dog.

I dont have a dog or a cat because I don't want the trouble of **** and pis,--yet next door has dogs and cats . I cant sleep some nights and the smell is disgusting, the cats fight and piss on --well anything that does'nt already smell of cat piss.

Ask them about it and --"no--it does'nt piss in my yard--I don't know where it pisses actually", AArrrgh.

Then I get called dog hater.

It is not always the dog's fault. Sometimes it's the baby's.

HAHAha my dog bites people alot but only drunk Mexicans (I am in Mex). He is Mexican and I think since his owners where also and beat him alot he is exacting revenge. He never bites hard though. My buddy came to the casa last night and was hammered he walked past the dog without saying hi so he got up and bit him in the ass, it was the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. With kids he just does the hot breath and never bites. I like my disfunctional dog! He also rolls in dead fish on the beach than jumps on my bed LOL
