The Clint Eastwood Russian jet movie was not far from the truth in one respect.





I think the planes the Russians/Soviets used for testing were propeller driven sea planes set up with skis. It was just after WWII, a way of getting range for smaller patrol craft.

Firefox Mig-31 was all made up - cool movie for it's time though.
