It is the stoker who manages the steam reserve, not the engineer. And he does a perfect job, and uses best quality coal, you cannot even see a sign of smoke coming out the funnel. Perfect!

My terminology is not the best. the dude in the engine room is what i meant.

However, the Norrskär is Oil fired.

There is a stoker in the boiler room, even when oil fired.
But it is possible to make no smoke with coal, except when shoveling the coal in.

Yes, i know. The coalers sport: to shovel in so that there is as little smoke as possible.
