Priceless..

and I thought it was only happening in South Africa affirmative action that is....

Actually, over here you have to add a few more "qualifications" to qualify for the presidency; Jailbird, communist, terrorist, rapist, corrupted to name but a few

We have our third Black President in South Africa.What is the big deal Yanks ?Some of the same that elected GW have now voted for BO does that fix the mess?Chest pounding patronising does not make you a great nation.Hard work will restore the greatness of your nation not the fact that you voted a "Black Man" as president. You voted him in cause he is the most suitable man for the job.BO is a good person good luck to him. You should all read the book "The Last Brave Generation" and strive to instill those values expressed by the last brave generation(Vets from WW11 Korea and Nam)

Epo...My post wasn't worded as well that's for damn sure! It's just hard to accent the positive on these international sites when I'm taxed to hell and our government sends hundreds of billions overseas. Then, so many take such glee in talking about American's self-interest.

As a Wisconsin native who has experienced the season change there as well as the aged cheddar, I will try to meet sassy nay-sayers with more a more positive response...yet equally factual.

[quote=juiceclark;236459]====================================

Referring to Americans as a backward group of untraveled rednecks is a rather impolite and quite incorrect stereotype. In fact, I see the BBC cable news had the largest gain in viewers last month here in the States.

That's why we pay for our Navy to patrol the world's shipping lanes to protect your products. ETC.! How does that reflect a self-absorbed society?

I have to say Juice, I love some of your comments.

Why do you think the yanks tune into the BBC......? Wouldnt actually be to find out whats going on as opposed to the horrendous domestic channels you guys have over there?

And you wonderfully protecting the seas..... my man.... thats what empires do... you didnt invent it. If you want to have an empire you have to rule the seas, not to waste your time chasing Popeye the Pirate but to ensure no one threatens your dominance.

What else is going on fella, markets are still falling so quite happy to be out of shares.
