| computer problem My computer got slightly molested/infested and now it won't show the addresses of where I am so I can put the cursor on it, right click copy and paste. Now I have to find a spot on the page so the address will show up, manually write it down and then manually type it in. Can anyone tell me how to correct it or a good place to go to find out? Sam |

| Simpel answer is to find a diagnostic program if sandisk can not do the job. |

| Browser problem? Hoi SamSam, I suspect you are talking about a problem with your browser? If so is it explorer? If it is an internet explorer problem, sorry it does not sound familiar to me. Easy solution: Download Firefox browser and use it instead of internet explorer all your bookmarks and will be transferred. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/ |

| If you have virus software do a scan immediately. If not get either Norton Anti-Virus or McAfee's anti-virus software and do a complete scan of your computer. If you are using AOL they have a built in diagnostic for your computer simply called Computer Check. run it. Download a free copy of Spybot, Spyware Blaster, or Spyware Doctor and run them. I run all three. Get all that crap off of your computer now. Not only is it screwing up your computer, you are spreading it every time you log on to the internet. If all else fails you may have to do a system restore. I am assuming you are using Windows 98, Windows 2000 or XP. Each of these keeps a record of your operating system and any changes made to it. You can restore your system to what it was before it started doing funny stuff. Click Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore. It will ask for a date. Try to figure out a date before the thing started acting up. This will take a while and should work to get you back to where you were. BUT if you don't clean up your computer FIRST it will just get all screwed up again. Each of those programs above, Norton and McAfee comes with a fire wall. Use it. Also. If you are using Internet Explorer you may have to reinstall it. Mozilla Firefox is very good and comes with built in protection from Adware and Spyware. However, it will not run some of the microsoft specific stuff such as Active X controls and high level Java script. AOL, as bad as some people consider it, also has built in spyware, adware and virus protection as well as the diagnostic tools. If you are running AOL get the Version 9 Security Edition. If all else fails pack it up and take it to a computer geek and get it fixed. They may have to reinstall your operating system (I've had to do this on one of my computers and it is a real pain in the ass)

| It could be that IE has forgotton it's toolbar settings. Right-click on the toolbars and see if anything looks possible. Otherwise, virus check and/or switch to Mozilla / Firefox / Linux. Tim B.
