| Cold molded boat repair I have a 1967 Ray Hunt designed 25' Surf Hunter powerboat. It is cold molded usinf three 1/8" mahogany layers bonded with Resorsinol. The outter layer has received a beating over the years so I am considering bonding on another layer. This boat is big and heavy enough so that putting the hull up is not an option meaning that the sheathing would have to be done from underneath. Has anyone had experience doing this type of repair? If so, what constructive advice can you oass along? Thank you. |
