China's Secret Nuclear Submarine Project

(or having fun with the boatdesign.net design gallery on a very slow Friday afternoon at work).

One of China's news agencies, "The Peoples Daily Online", leaks photo of their new Top Secret nuclear attack sub!

Full deep submergence tests are scheduled for the Marianas trench later this month. Although officals are reluctant to release any performance figures on this, their newest, latest and greatest, military accomplishment, industry insiders have been overheard to say that: "this sub is fully capable of diving to the bottom of the Marianas abyssal" and were also heard later on to say that: "it's also unlikely that it'll ever return to the surface!"

Taiwan responds to news of China's Nuclear Sub

The former British Commonwealth of Taiwan has retaliated with a display of it's own military and naval might with the recent disclosure of nuclear deep submergence weapons by it's not so friendly neighbor (and also claims sovereignty over Taiwan) China. Local Taiwanese netizens have posted the following top secret photo of what is rumoured to be "surplus but still state of the art British thermo-hydrodynamic propelled attack submarine".

Tensions between the two neighbors are extremly high as you could imagine. Reports of extreme name calling between netizens of both countries is rampant on the Internet! More reports as they become available on this breaking story as they become available!

US Deploys stealth craft

Reports are now pouring in that the US has redeployed some of its newest strategic recognizance naval assets to monitor the situation unfolding in the East China Sea.

This stealth remotely controlled vehicle was #1 on the defence departments R&D program in 2002 with one prototype being produced at a respectable cost of only $14.7M. Since entering active duty the StingRay ROV has set an all time endurance record for autonomous operation at sea for over 1800 days! How did it do this you ask? It's the ultra top secret fuel source. The Internet's most well respected conspiracy theory web site, The Smoking Gun dot calm lists the main powerplant of the StingRay as the "Illudium Q36 Interplanetary Space Modulator"!

Live picture feed from StingRay is being received as I type. Here's the latest on the situation developing in the East China Sea!

Stay tuned. This reporter has to go take a valium. BRB

Breakaway state, Nagorno-Karabakh lends support

The former Soviet Union breakaway state of Nagorno-Karabakh has pledged its entire naval reserves to the defence of Tawian. Although not a naval super power the people of Nagorno-Karabakh have proven time and time again that their inginuity and skills at improvisation are invaluable in their continued struggle for independence. The people of Nagorno-Karabakh, with an insatiable appetite for cheap small electronic gizmos & gadgets, see Taiwan as a very important strategic ally.

The Nagorno-Karabakh warship "Нагорный Карабах" (translated: Hammer of Karabakh) is seen here making preparations for sea!

"j e" you could be right, trouble is or was when they were built the "U" boats were the best diesel submarines in the world! Still are apparantly, the UK may have 'palmed' them off on the Canadians but I wouldn't want to tell any UK diesel submariners of the that era! You might not like the answer! That's politicians for you don't know what they are doing! (and in that it would appear that the UK don't have a monoply but hell we're trying!)

Having said that I can't say how the guys who have 'em, use 'em! being an ex skimmer and all that stuff!

Holy Batboats Batman!

Having heard about the troubles brewing in the Eastern China Sea the Caped Crusader and his faithful sidekick "Goofy Looking Guy in White Business Shirt" race off across the ocean to bring truth, justice and the American Way to those in conflict!

Cdn contingent heads to East China Sea

The Canadian contingent of its International Peacekeeping naval force headed to sea this morning to help prevent the outbreak of violence that's festering between the two rivals. Seen here is "HMS Fiat Panda" straight out of a two year multi million dollar refit in Vancouver Shipyards.

Commanding HMS Fiat Panda is Dudly DooRight a native of Hay River(or thereabouts) NWT. When asked how he perceived his role upon arrival in the East China Sea Captain DooRight said: "...............

Marvin Martian, original owner of the I-Q36-ISM, having heard of is location in the East China Sea heads off with his trusty crew to retrieve the device.

Marvin was overheard to say: "Once and for all I can get rid of this pesky planet that blocks my view of Venus!"
