Charleston Sth Carolina

I thought I'd give this a try, Seaspark looked at a boat for me in Belgium a few years back which was very helpful. This time I want to buy East coast USA.

I'm looking for someone who could peer into the bilges kick the tyres and perhaps measure the height of the main mast of a 50 footer in Charleston. The only fully acredited marine surveyor in town is compromised on this vessel unfortunately.
If anyone can take a look, or recommend someone in turn please email me engden@aapt.net.au

Thanks

Mike,

Too late, I was there in May for a while, would have been happy to check her out!

I don't know any surveyors in that part of the world personally or by rep, but here are some sources for surveyors near Charleston. You'll have to check them out yourself, but it's a starting point, and some show their accreditations on their sites. The towns listed, Isle of Palms, John island, etc. are all close to Charleston, and Savannah, Georgia is only a few hours drive to the south. Longliner's comment is, of course, true sometimes, but you know that already, I'm sure.

Hope this helps.

Glad I could help, Mike.

I'm just south of Sarasota, about 100 km south of Tampa.
