Monkeys are smart too, we get a lot of them in the shower block at the marina, they are real smart probably smarter than me. You wanna see them rip open a coconut or open polystyrene food package and a can of coke.

Now don't ell me a whale could open a can of coke.

And they eat monkeys In Malaysia, well they used to, but just the brains while the monkey was still alive. There eyes would go around as you scooped out the mushy flesh.

Ahem --then they would be shipped to America for a position in the government. I never said that!!

There is really no separate species such as "Spotted Owl'. It turns out it was only a variety of The North American Common Owl, which ranges from Central America to Canada, and is as the name implies, common; plentiful even. We've got the same thing going on here in Florida with the so-called "Florida Panther" which turns out to be just a variety of the Puma/Mountain Lion. Animals are defined as of a species if they can freely interbreed and produce fertile offspring, as both these examples do.

Now be nice Jimbo,
One of my relations has a degree in fisheries/forestry. He told me this little story about an example of the law of unintended consequences.

They were doing surveys for Marbled murrelets It involved climbing trees looking for nests to log for the survey. Very labor intensive and slow motion.

After a while the crows figured it out and would follow the survey teams and wait for them to locate a nest of tender little morsels that our black feathered friends could plunder..
