CNC routers in Europe I'm trying to find different companies in Europe that make CNC marine plugs and so on. There's a ton of info on American companies doing exactly this on this website like janicka and others, but none of them are in Europe. Anyone have any ideas or links to point me in the right direction? Erik

Hi Erik, I think you mean CNC, (computer numerical control) I know of European firms using CNC to cut flat panels in steel and aluminum for hulls. I’m sure there is some cutting plugs this way. Gary

Yes I did mean CNC Just got confused thinking or something ![]() Thinking can be pretty hard at times... The mistake has now been corrected I've found two so far, it seems to me that there have to be a lot more than that, we do make our fair share of boats here in Europe Erik

| Hi Erik, just contact the Boatbuilders around your place. They'll use some CNC companies, so you can ask them for references. The Boatyard where I used to work has closed, so I cannot ask them. But I do remember it was a bit expensive, in my opinion. So, are thinking about big stuff, or small? a friend of me (in England) was working on the design of a CNC machine. It was a small one; I don't know the stage of it at the moment, but let me know if you're interested. Cheers

The small go-fast glass boat industry in the US is very strong. But CNC is now being used for one off custume boats. I have just read an article about a conpany using it for 30'-80' one-of-a kind sportfisherman. I'm sure it's the same in Europe. Gary
