Hi i'm Boonbeest
im 24 years old and i'm from Belgium

my original hobby is cartuning
i customize my car myself
and my original car is a citroen C4


this is how it is now

now because you always have to be special in cartuning and i work a lot with glassfiber my idea is making a boat in same colours of the car
lost of shiny stuff in the boat.

the boat i"m gonna make is always on a trailer so its not my idea to get him in the water.

so a showboat

14.76 feet long
4.86 feet wide.

no how am i starting for a boat with an outside motor that i"m going to polish ?
i mean the skelet of the boat.Are there any pictures of soms skelets for a small speetboad ?

Why so small ?

A show boat in my opinion is a proper sized boat someone can walk on and on which you can experience some on water, safely and with other people.

At 15 feet what would be a small fresh water boat and if you walk on it it better be moored to the side or you're wet

Have a google for speed boats, there are hordes of them. Starting a boat is easy because that's in your mind, but actually making one is not so simple, and making one that works properly is also something else entirely. Ask anyone here that has built any kind of boat.

Personally I'm not into shiny glittery stuff. I won't comment on it since you may be offended.

If I was at your age now, I'd do a lot different... one of them would be not wasting time and money on such a small rig and I'd be more carefull of women

Seems such a waste, all that money, work and time.

Just draw a nice boat life side on a board and put it behind the car and take pictures.

I've seen boats that I would be afraid to put in the water. Is this the sort of boat you are talking about? One with a huge engine with chrome all over it? One that would be bouncing up in the air more than it would be touching the water? If so, then I think you should not put it in the water also. Then by all means, I'm with you, keep it on the trailer.

look tuning up a car is a way of a lifestyle

my car i drive with it but it has to shine constantely.

There are people with quads , bikes ,motorcycles behind there car

in same colour of it
and yes only for show and meetings.

thats a hobby like some people do in a bar is drinking

well my way of hobby is working with glassfiber.

so my car is almost finished outside

so i"m going to start with a boat.

the only thing i need to start with it is a push in the back
for the making off.

so somebody please


who has an example of a wooden skelet of a boat.

Well, your car is still basically a Citroen?
I would go for a smaller already existing 14-15 ft boat with "lines" if you get my meaning (read this as goodlooking). No outboard, I would go for a waterjet. No outboard, no fixed shaft axel (Waterjet looks a bit more "fun", and places a bit lower on a trailer, looks better). Then, if the engine is a useless piece of crap, you can pull that out, and leave the waterjet sticking out (and a boat like that should go cheap...). And that can then still be a useable boat, if you get an engine later...

You can still get your share of glassfiberwork, and paintjobs.... believe me.

But If you still want a wooden boat to work, shape and glass;

Yes, Wally. He will post photos of his art-boat when it's done, methinks. He found examples on how to acheive a shape (the skeletpictures = photos of frames).

He gave us a background perspective by way of introduction. He was looking for a cool boat shape - it seems he doesn't intend to float it, just haul it around behind his cool car.

Poor kids can't install full-race cams, wide whitewalls, and full fender skirts these days.

Clever 'glass guy, though - hope he sticks around.
