Book review

Sorry Erik, not the one you are looking for.

A Good Boat Speaks for Itself, Isle Royale Fisherman and Their Boats, by Timothy Cochrane and Hawk Tolson.

I grabbed this book when I first saw it. I expected it to be a discussion on the fishing boats on Lake Superior. It was more about how the environment and heritage combined to influence the fisherman and there boats, on Superior’s north shore and Isle Royale. A small history lesson of an area and time where a boat was a requirement to survive.

I would recommend it, especially to those interested in this area. It was a fun book to read. In a 1-5 scale, it gets ****.
