Boating Social Networks

Just stumbled on what looks like a great marine social network. TheOpenSea.com. A buddy at my yacht club says they're not launching till the summer but it looks pretty slick so far. Could this be "the one?"

What's your favorite boating social network?

Be sure to post a link and stuff... that depends on your cruising grounds - many I know seem to cater for local needs as a broad brush becomes a little difficult whilst cruising as often broadband is not available....

All good points. In the end, I just want a Facebook for boaters ya know? I am tired of having to filter through people poking me and giving me presents and the rest of that nonsense. I want a community (not a forum) where I can do all that Facebook stuff, but have it be just for boating and for boaters. If you're a 35 year old ice climber whose into triathlons (but you dont boat), you're not welcome. This site seems to do that a little. I dont know, maybe I need to be "poked."

"It's not the boat "you built" until you've sworn at it, bled on it, sweated over it and cried beside it!" - I just made that up!
