Wow, imagine the reaction of waterside residents if you moored that one close by.

Like most privately owned boats, its a 'ego symbol' thing - and he is obviously is trying to upstage the other 'plain vanilla' marina neighbors.



Now, about the local steel boat builder we know who has access to a lot of high quality, free 'Emergency Orange' boat paint for his 30+ footer - who is torn between being super hi viz versus saving a whole lot of money .....

 

The dazzle paint is kinda cool.
The boat under the paint? Butt ugly. I'd camo it too.

 

Looks like Arrabito Naval Architects took the job with its accompanying money and produced the style that was asked for . . . :idea:

But... they didn't put a single reference to it on their website, perhaps that says something . . .

 

The cut off bow is to cut down the marina fees . . . ​

That is stolen right out of Star Wars! The rig that picked up the droids after they amscrayed off the ship.

 

Humm...where is the machinery space access? And why is the hawser piled on the mess deck?

 

So that's what it is. I though they were going sponging.

 

Its not hawser, its a contemporary art installation woven out of 1.5 kilometres of cow intestine.

 

That took a lot of guts.

 

Looking at the photo, I thought it was a fornicatorium, like the old Donzi cabin.

 

This is one of those "I want to design a pontoon shantyboat ..." jobs when you have three or four million dollars.

Its close to the result that you got when Homer Simpson designed the ultimate car.

 

It's all Mike's fault.... and don't forget the zigzag black stripes. Think of something the kzinti would love - and keep normal humans away. A long way away....
