Two found, the Skipper and a crew member, they were taking a 'hike' to the South Pole and thus not on board.

No sign of the yacht or the the other three crewmembers yet.

News from the Steve Irwin and Nancy Burnet, the Sea Shepherd ship and helicopter there.

And the Foreigner, Norwegian news in English.

If you haven't sailed in the Southern Oceans best you don't post comment inferring lack of committment by those (Australian and New Zealanders) that do and continually risk their own lives rescuing people who either go there unprepared and ill equiped, in the wrong season or don't do enough research.

I'm an expat Kiwi, have sailed the Southern Bight of Australia/Tasmania and south of NZ's Stewart Is.

Anyway.. There's some talk around here that they (Berserk crew) didn't have any clearance or permit for their expedition. I don't know what Norwegian law states but the Antarctic Treaty says
"5. Each Contracting Party shall, at the time when the present Treaty enters into force for it, inform the other Contracting Parties, and thereafter shall give them notice in advance, of
a. all expeditions to and within Antarctica, on the part of its ships or nationals, and all expeditions to Antarctica organized in or proceeding from its territory"
so remember to send a letter for the officials of the countries signed the treaty if you plan to visit there

Should I infer that both vessels delivered the same effort..?

Anyway, I think we agree on that it shouldn't have been necessary to rescue them. Berserk shouldn't have go there, it simply isn't a place for a picnic with a yacht. And I think it's wrong that they have dragged others into their dangerous pleasure adventures...
