Congratulations! There are few things more gratifying than seeing that first boat sold. I think it's great to have dreams come true.

if it's not too much trouble would you please send me any info you have on the sprite? I also own an old sprite, and would like to get it back to original, it currently has a homebuilt rudder assembly, and I'd like to find out what the original at least looked like to try and build one that is closer to oem design.

Thanks,
ken

kendall,
There really is not much info available on the Sprite. What there is, is available from my step-mother at Baker Boatworks.

Look for the "Spirit" near the bottom of the page.

That's more than I had been able to find out before, appreciate it!
surprisingly for having such a large production run, it isn't a very easy boat to find anything out about.

I'm doing building boats in Bucharest Romania. Carving and modelling since kid, the 3D modelling software discovery came as THE GAME for me. Currently doing a 40 ft Camper&Nicholson 40 ft restauration.

Never too old

I left school at 17 to study Naval Architecture, having a limited knowlage of boats but a natural curiousity. This did not work out as planned. Now after being away from my studies for 12 years I am restarting my course in Naval Architecture. If any of you guys have any good advice I'd be glad to hear it!

Cheers !

Truth is stranger than fiction

I designed my first boat after I realized that walking on water was too slow, and although human powered water skiing was fun I would like to be able to sit down from time to time

I suppose this story is a little too enigmatic so I invite you to visit my website http://www.wavewalk.com
