| Backing Boat Up Hill Purchased a Rinker Captiva 282 on a 2010 ventora aluminum double axel trailer with surge brakes. My driveway has a 15% grade.....will my 2007 Tahoe have any problems backing the boat up??? Boat and trailer weight approx 6500 lbs Any comments appreciated Thanks |

| Yes.. install somekind of "lock" to disable the breaks. |

| Your Surge Brakes should be on both Axcels and have an Electric lockout that should be acctivated by the Backup light pin on your 7 wire connector. If the trailer only came with a flat 5 pin like a lot of them do. Just sut it off go to Wally World and buy a 7 pin to replace it. It will fit the 7 pin that is on your truck bumper The center pin Extra/Aux doubles as a Backup light circut. Put a Meter on it to confirm.. This unlocks the surge brake when you put it in reverse. ![]() |
