Avatars?

Do they work here? Maybe it’s time to come out of the closet. I know you all wanted to know what I looked like.

Gary

Nope, well then look in my profile.

I thought they might be distracting in the thread view, but if people want them to show I could certainly enable them...

Yes, I think you’re right Jeff. I was having some fun last night and maybe one to many grapes.

I too find them rather distracting. They also slow things down a good bit when you're on dialup...
Why not have a poll about it ?

Jeff, howsabouts you set it up so that them as wants to see them can do so, but them with dialups or no desire can turn them off?

Can that be done, as in set in the user options?

Steve

If it was an option, I'm for it. However, if it slows down things too much, those with dial up will be discouraged.

Bully for you.. ;-) My dialup is extremely slow, but I wouldn't want to stand in the way of people using them if they like 'em. Being the Old Fart (tm) that I am......

How do I add mine?
The Edit Avatar page does not allow me to change or add one...

Edit:
Jeff fixed it!

See if they are working now for you Erik...

Are you getting any error message or does it just not show up after you click 'use custom avatar' and upload?
