I was juvenile, what Frosty you're trying to deprive me of my youths memorys. Thailand is not exactly famous for auto manufacturing, so do you live in a glass house. Lighten up the post while public was not up for comment but for humor, which in this old mans memorys still gives a little happiness and a self chuckle, a rareness in this crazy selfish world of ours. Now lay on your couch let your memory drift back in time until you feel yourself smiling, Now, Isn't that nice--- Geo.

Couch?

I live in a village with dirt floor mainly cannibals. the Un came last week and fitted a well pump for us so now I don't have to go the the river with a pot on my head.

We slaughtered a platipus duck yesterday and ate it tonight, the women are still dancing --you know jumping up and down thing.

Well isn't that great living with nature and dancing women too . Changing the subject, how did that dingy oar lock and seat position work out after i took time out from my busy work schedule to compile and post that info for you. See there's the glass house.
Ok time to call a hault to this childishness and meet each other, Hi my name is George and I'm pleased to meet you, I'm always amazed and intrigued that forum members are here from all over the world. I think it's still my mindset from being an old HAM operator and how we struggled to tune up the rig and be on air at just the right time to get the signal both ways and here on the net it's just a matter of sittin down and turning on the computer. Anyhow Frosty hope your tag isn't a reflection of you person and we can continue to help each other out in this wonderful world of boating . If you're ever in my neck of the woods look us up, Anchors Gate B&B, deep water moorings available, and an old boat builder on call ( only a hobby now). Platipus in Thailand ? "Thai Sticks" and dancing women yes but Platipus Geo.

New research on amphibians could soon give researchers a leg up on how limbs develop in a host of organisms, and one day lead to techniques to repair injuries in humans.

Dalhousie post-doctoral researcher Ryan Kerney’s work in figuring out how a frog found in Puerto Rico’s rainforests develops its limbs has just been published in the journal Evolution and Development.

The emerging field of regenerative medicine is watching this type of research closely hoping to understand how limb development findings could be applied to humans. Regenerative medicine looks at how stem cells can be used to regrow missing structures or guide in the development of structures within an organism.

And less Mackeral to go around. It sounds like this ones heating up pretty well

the EU says it will block Iceland from fishing Mackeral after Iceland announces the intention of increasing its self imposed quota

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotlan...tland-12674823

also this bit from
http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/natureuk/...-beached.shtml

Quote:
A study co-authored by the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society found a strong link between naval mid-frequency sonar and whale and dolphin strandings, but the evidence is still circumstantial.

It now seems likely that the Pegwell Bay sperm whale was a juvenile on migration that found itself in waters too poor to sustain its diet. But with a 25 percent increase in cetacean strandings over the last 20 years, you have to wonder whether the sea and its creatures are trying to tell us something.

Just maybe they'll get the European house in order and sustain some of these stocks. The mackeral runs seem to dropped off last year in this area after a couple of years of bumper crops. The key food fish to watch in the north atlantic is the caplin which are the primary food source for cod, and on up the food chain to dolphins and whales. The big Russian factory ships depleted this stock somewhat after the decline of the cod.I still say the U.S. and Canada should declare a 250 mile fishery protection zone until the stocks get back into a healthy condition and then allow some strick international fishing. The big problem now is the foreign boats are still scraping the bottom on the tail of the grand banks. This is our continental shelf and should be protected. I don't think Canada has the equiptment and manpower to do it alone. One of the big problems of only 33 million people, not enought tax base to develop proper military policing and back up the regulations.---Geo.

P.S. Boston will contact you PM on that fuel topic in the near future, also have a 7.3

The last few years they have been good in Newfoundland also. Funny they don't run in any of the other Atlantic Provinces. I think there was a run in Cape Breton at one time but haven't heard anything on it returning. I don't think there ever was a run in Maine either. The Newfroundland herring seem to have been depleated also and haven't heard on whats happening there. The west coast of Newfoundland had the largest herring stocks in the world back in the early 1900's. Two or Three big New England companies were set up in the Bay of Islands and my great grandfather did a big buisness with them. I think once these batefish return in numbers the top preditors will start to make bigger increases. I just hope this time we fish them properly.---Geo.

Interesting Michael, never knew it existed. You know more about Newfoundland than 90% of the people who live there,Thats it I'm going to have to arrange to make you an honarary citizen--Kiss the cod and drink the rum. Another fact that alot of people don't know that NFLD. was an independant country before before Canada joined it. I actually am actually not a natural born Canadian citizen, I was born in the country of NFLD. The country from which three important historical events occured. From NFLD the country of the United States was started. From NFLD the country of Canada was started. NFLD was the very first piece of overseas land acquired by England in what was to evolve into the British Empire. -- History lesson for today-- Geo.

Well Im pretty much on the top of the food chain round here myself, mind you those big bull Elephants can get a bit peeved if you tease them with the ole pineaple.

Oh by the way I nearly forgot,-- my great great great uncle Tom went to Canada in the turn of the last century to teach Christianity to the Mohicans.

I saw a photo of him with Indian Chiefs with fantastic head gear on smoking clay pipes.

PS --not like mine they had white bendy ones.
