Anchor retrival

    Just thought to myself, why hasn't anyone designed a break-away anchor.
    The plough anchor could have the blade section pivot on a pin that would be locked into place with a pivoting wedge that can be released with a smaller rope. When you pull the release rope the wedge is pulled out and the blade pivots in a straight line with the shank of the anchor. I'll have to draw it up.

    I've wondered about the idea myself.I always come to the conclusion that after years of "Anchoring" the present forms of anchors are probably the best
    years of jack tars can come up with.
    Then again,we have just come up with the "Slide bar method"Which I doubt is for sale on the market.
    I suppose with modern machining techniques and materials improvements are more than possible.
    I wouldn't mind having a look at your drawing when you get round to it.

    So the system has already been perfected,with extras.
