Absolutely Stupid Sailboat Racing Idea

Hello...

I have an idea - wait - I lost it...

Oh yes - racing and paintball - on the honour system...

Some formula where you are handicapped by either crossing the line first or turning back to get in some colour coded hits on the sails of your opponents - hulls cannot count as they get scrubbed by waves...

Might make for some good close quartered bad mistakes...

Spud launchers for paintball grenades absolutely welcomed...

Shotgun magazine - Co2 powered - turreted deck guns - fantastic...

You know the Police boats and the Coast Guard would come running - but they just might get in on it...

OFF - STARBOARD - POOF POOF POOF - M/F...

I really should find myself a sheer cliff and have a picnic...

SH.

You'd need gallon cans of the stuff to make your "mark" tho!!! Sounds fun!

Actually gave this some thought awhile back ...

No race course, just a racing area and a time limit.

Penalty for sailing out of the course boundry ...

No hits below the waterline ...

3-6 boat teams ...

Red fleet and Blue fleet ...

Sails with more than 6 (10?) hits have to be struck (replacements allowed) ...

No hand held paintball guns ... guns must be mounted ...

Elevation limited to 25 degrees ...

May I join you or do I need to find my own cliff ..?

Still think cannon loaded with gallon cans the way to go! Get the whole sail in one hit that way!
