| Bulkheads, Subdecks or .... Hi Guys Picture a Tornado catamaran hull, built from the plans in plywood. As it is, it will be prone to failure in front of the main beam due to the bridle trying to pull the hulls together. Now.. What is the best way to strengthen this structure? I have been told sub decks are a waste of time and that you must strengthen the outer part of the hull with stringers. I have been told subdecks are the way to go... I have been told more bulkheads are the only answer. What do you suggest? Bear in mind - carbon is not class legal and I am trying to remain minimum wieght. Thanks in advance Alex  |
